3.1 Strictly necessary

Always active. Required for security, language preference (EN/PT), and to remember your cookie choices. These cannot be disabled. Cookies in this category set on joyfulchoiceai.com: jc-cookie-consent (localStorage, stores your consent choice, 180-day expiry, first-party).

3.2 Functional

Not currently in use. Reserved for future preference cookies (e.g., remembered UI settings).

3.3 Analytics

Used to understand site traffic in aggregate. Currently planned: Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC, USA), which sets cookies _ga and _ga_* with a lifetime of up to 13 months. Data is processed under Google's Data Processing Amendment and EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Analytics cookies are only loaded after your explicit consent.

3.4 Marketing

Not currently in use. Reserved for future advertising or remarketing tools.

4) Third-party services

When you click "Book a call" we redirect you to Cal.com (Cal.com, Inc.). Cal.com sets its own cookies on its own domain (cal.com), governed by Cal.com's own privacy and cookie policy. We do not embed Cal.com inside joyfulchoiceai.com — you choose to navigate there. When you contact us via WhatsApp or Telegram links, you leave our site for those services, governed by their own terms.

5) Your choices

On your first visit, a banner asks for your cookie preferences. You can: accept all, reject all (only strictly necessary remain), or customize by category. You can change your choice anytime via "Cookie settings" in the footer. You can also disable cookies in your browser, but this may affect some site features.

6) How long we keep consent

Your consent choice is stored for 180 days. After that we ask again, in line with GDPR guidance.

7) Your rights

Under GDPR you can access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights or for any privacy question, email hello@joyfulchoiceai.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority CNPD (www.cnpd.pt) or the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

We will update this policy when we add or remove cookies, services, or third-party tools. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
